Guys. I feel I owe an apology to all. Never did I intend on causing disagreement between those of you who know flags. My motivation for authenticating this flag are quite benign. I have no plans to sell or market this flag, actually it purchased by mistake/impulse. Was in one of the antique gun auctions I frequent and being a Southerner, bought it. Never paid much attention after it was delivered , found it in a closet recently where it had been since I bought it 10,15 or 20 yrs ago.I still cannot recall which auction I bought it from.. Wanted to know if it was real or a fake,that sums it up. I was about to throw it in the garbage. So please accept my apologies, I had no intention of causing a stir.. Just wanted to know if it was worth keeping ..
