I do not have the flag here to look at the crosses. Will be returned one day this week from the expert who is performing the authentication. Sounds like consensus is that the flag is an early reunion flag. Will take outside and look when it arrives. I want to say that the cross with the double horizontal bars is not tilted. I know very little if anything about flags, but these crosses intrigue me as well. I do recall that the crosses had well defined edges, almost like applied from a pattern vs painted/dyed free hand. Seems these have to reveal something about the flag, your freemason comment may be a clue to why they were applied.? Possibly some of you guys who know more about flags of this period could come up with why they are on the flag and/or what they represent . Will do my best to get a photo ,not confident it will work as they are really faint. Thank you to everyone for comments/ideas..
