Yes the 149th Pa did lose their flags also, many more Pa regiments lost flags at Gettysburg. I had alot of questions with some of these Union regiments.

Hopefully this July 1,2,3 at Gettysburg I can get to the bottom of the truth.

Seems nobody know anything about captured Union flags at Gettysburg. Even some of the Pa regimental histories and books on Pa regiments at Gettysburg, seems to be a mess. I guess they just dont want to admit losing a flag. Check the OR on Gettysburg, are we to believe only 2 Union flags were captured? Only the 3rd Maine and 11th US.Regulars admitted to losing a flag at Gettysburg.

I believe, had there not have been a Pickett/Pettigrew/Trimble charge, the Union would have lost more flags in the outcome.
