In addition to these, many--I don't know how many--evidently went up in flames at the evacuation of Richmond, These had been among the captured flags forwarded to the CS War Dept on 9th Street at Bank for display and accounting, but not taken out, and the building in which they were presumably kept was completely destroyed by the fire.
