In regards to Gen Magruders Dept of the Peninsula (Va) early war Red/White flags. I recall a reference that approx 40 of these flags were made and distributed to units then under his area of command. Does anyone know of a listing of what units recieved these flags? Also the duration of use for these. I think many/most of these units in question very soon thereafter recieved 1st or 2nd Bunting ANV flags, assuming the Magruder flags were quickly replaced, if they had been unfurled at all... thanks in advance
