Macon in '65 - Col. Lawton & Capt. Cromwell?

I have an advertisement (circa 1924) from a Mr. Mark W. Peacock of Naples, Tex. who is seeking verification of his Confederate service with a unit which he joined in Macon, GA in 1865. According to Peacock, his "comrades were all Tennesseeans with the exception of one man, Joe Adams." He also claims that his commanders were Colonel Lawton and Captain Cromwell. Could anyone please identify this unit? I am suspicious that the part about being from Tennessee may be erroneous, but am uncertain. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you very much.

Sincerely,
CAM
