The 48th GA flag captured at Gettysburg was the regimental flag - not a company standard. It was lost in the July 2nd charge by Wright's Brigade upon Cemetery Ridge. The Pickett - Pettigrew - Trimble charge took place the following day on July 3rd, on pretty much the same ground. The 48th GA flag is in the collection housed at the Georgia State Capitol building in Atlanta.
