Re: Co E, 48th GA Infantry and Huguenot in VA

Thank you so much for your response and the information. Yes, what a coincidence that you are only 2 mi. from the Cemetery and actually went there! Are there graves or is it one mass grave with one stone?

I am hoping to go there on my up to see my sister in Gainesville, VA. in September. The heat may not be as bad as it is now.

I thought a story behind a name would give it a personal touch on my research for these two fellow's in the Civil War and I'm glad I found this Forum, it's great! Again thank you for helping me out.

If there's anyone out there that can assist me on anything about his brother,John R. Wiggins, Private - March 4, 1862, Killed at Deep Bottom, Virginia, August 16, 1864. (Born in 1842.) and where abouts or thoughts of where he could be buried, I would deeply appreciate it.

Thanks so much!

Julie
