Thanks Tom, that was good news to read. They deserve so much more than what was described before.

I'm still trying to find out as much as I can about this particularly unit and I haven't yet found out anything about his brother of the same Co. E, 48th GA Infantry, Private - March 4, 1862. Killed at Deep Bottom, Virginia, August 16, 1864. (Born in 1842.)

Does anyone know of a place where they could have been buried if killed there at Deep Bottom, VA?
