Mr. Yopp,

Very interested in talking with you more about the information you have on the Yopp family. I've been researching the 14th Georgia well over 10 years now.

I understand Mr. Thomas Yopp had a childhood friend and servant who went off to war with him named Bill Yopp. The soldiers of the regiment referred to him as "Ten cent Bill" because they would pay him ten cent anytime he did something for them. He was highly thought of by the men.

My understanding is that he took care of Mr. Thomas Yopp at the Confederate Solider's Home in Atlanta until his death, and is buried there as well. He supposedly wrote a rare book on his experiences during the war.

Any additional information is greatly appreciated!
