Also, the home near the Carson cemetery is not where John gordon lived. That house was the Carson family home and part of their plantation. It still belongs to our family and is owned by Desmond Hicks who lives nearby.

The Gordon house was located back by the corner where the marker is at. A couple of years ago it was sold and disassembled and taken to Atlanta to be reerected in a historical village.
