Wow! It's incredible that you found so much info on my ancestor Amos Reeves so quickly. How did you do that? I would most definitely like to view all those documents you mentioned myself. Did you find them in the Georgia Archives, or elsewhere? Please let me know the location. I will also definitely call the cemeteries you mentioned, as there isn't a trace of his grave in his home county of Fayette, Georgia, in spite of extensive searching for same. I'm not sure how practical it was at that time to ship a body so far, though I suppose they had their ways. Would Dr. Newsome's service record be in the national or state archives? Seems I recall learning somewhere that the CSA service records exist only in the state archives, but am not sure of that. Anyway, I am very grateful to you for going to so much trouble to dig up this valuable information for me.
