Re: 18th Georgia Infantry Muster Rolls

Mr. Rowe,

Compiled Service Records (CSR). The CSR's are extracts from the original muster rolls that are at the National Archives, Washington, D.C. Normally, the only way you can assess these records normally is when the microfilm rolls are illegible. Here is what the CSR's have for his being a POW.

Company Muster Roll. March & April 1864, roll dated December 13, 1864. Absent, POW.
Company Muster Roll. May & June 1864, roll dated December 13, 1864. Absent, POW.
Company Muster Roll. July & August 1864, roll dated January 30, 1865. Absent, POW.

Other records do exist outside of the National Archives and their are still records in the National Archives that have not been thoroughly explored and made it into the CSRs. You may want to post you query on the POW Message Board at http://history-sites.net/cgi-bin/bbs53x/cwpmb/webbbs_config.pl

I hope this helps.

Respectfully,
