The next roll states that Worsham was assigned to duty as teamster on Nov. 25th. That should explain why you only find one reference to him as sergeant. That information comes directly from the roll. If you saw the original document, you would see those words in the column heading "Remarks".

It's also interesting that his rank is given as "Private" on both rolls. Apparently he was a sergeant so briefly that the orderly sergeant never moved his name to the list of sergeants near the top of the roll.
