Since there is no corresponding prisoner-of-war record, it's best to think of John L. Worsham as missing. The roll doesn't give a date, but the record shows that he had been serving as wagon and forage master. He wasn't shouldering a firearm in the ranks, but was detailed with the regimental and brigade wagon train. During the summer and fall of 1864, Wofford's Georgia Brigade occupied a relatively quiet sector north of the James River, just east of Richmond VA.
