My GGG Grandfather, John Davis, was a member of the 65th GA Regiment, Co D. He saved the regiments flag at the Battle of Franklin and brought it home with him. It has been in the possession of my family for over 140 years, and just recently my father donated it to the Southern Museum in Kennesaw, GA. I am attaching a link with a picture.
