I have a parole record for my ancestor who was in Co. A, 12th Georgia militia, dated 20 May 1865. That record indicates that the Headquarters of U.S. Forces was in Thomasville, GA. However, the pension application for his widow in 1905 indicates that he surrendered in Augusta, GA. Would like to clear up this discrepancy in location.
