Re: Hardee Brothers Brooks Cty GA Civil War

I am researching Thomas E. Hardee, who is my husband's great-great grandfather. Thomas' youngest son, Francis J. is my husband's great grandfather. I haven't been able to validate that Thomas E., b. 1808, was the son of Robert Hardee, which was mentioned in another genealogy thread. Do you have any information to support or refute this? My husband has always been told that they are related to Gen. William Joseph Hardee, but I can't make the connection. Any help would be appreciated.
