General Hospital (Charlottesville)
Established in July 1861 in buildings of the University of Virginia.
Record Group 109.--Records presented to the War Department in 1877 by Dr. James L. Cabell, who had been the surgeon in charge of the hospital, include a register of patients, July 22, 1861-Aug. 2, 1865 (ch. VI, vols. 214 and 215), with an alphabetical name index (ch. VI, vol. 216)
