Re: Company G, 56th GA Infantry

Private James Harris Wills was in the Ga 56th Co Co G. He died at Vicksburg early 1863 of disease. I was given a tin type of him, his family Bible, and other family keep sakes. One item was a three color-printed Ga 16 inf envelope. An Abner Wills(Ga16 infantry "Center Hill Guards, Cobb's Reg Ga Vol, Captain Reynolds commanding") wrote his first cousin, James H Wills, before James enlisted. The letter is long gone but the cover is still in the family. Abner Wills died at Cramptons Gap. James H Wills lived at Big Creek, Milton Co Ga. He is my gggrandfather
