Re: Georgia CSA Soldiers Records Search

Al,

My research shows there were at least nine men with the Boyette (also spelled Boyet and Boyett) last name in the 50th Ga. Infantry Regiment. Francis M. Boyett was a private in Co K, Brooks Volunteers, Brooks County. He was wounded at Chancellorsville and died of typhoid fever in Richmond on June 12, 1863. He is buried at Hollywood Cemetery, Richmond.
Willliam N. Boyett, also of Co K, died in Richmond on March 24, 1863, and is buried in Hollywood Cemetery.

The other Boyett's I have are:
Isaac J., Co F, Decatur Infantry, Decatur County; John, Co K; John H., Co F; W.R., Co K; William H., Co I, Berrien Light Infantry, Berrien County; William T., Co F; and William W., Co K.

I also have a brother-in-law, Rep Boyett, in Nassau County, Fl. Sure are a lot of Boyett's around.

Jim Parrish
