Update on GA CSA ancestors,

George G. Barrs was stabbed and died in Pulaski County GA at Coley's Station shorthly after the war. His two sons went to live with his father James Barrs and his second wife in Pulaski County GA.

William W. Barrs, youngr brother of James C. Barrs went on to be a wealthy cotton farmer in Brooks and Lowndes County Georgia.

James C. Barrs went on to found Barrsville, Florida and was wounded in front of his general store in Barrsville, Columbia County, FL in 1872. His cousin from Barnesville, SC, who was visiting, was also shot and died two days later. Jim Barrs recovered but was dead by the time of the murder trial in Lake City in 1887.

James Henry L. Barrs, the oldest child of James C. and Martha Barrs went on to become a citrus farmer in southwest Florida and helped found the town of Floral City, Florida.
