Thank you for your answers. I have, before this, read the story of the Battle of Round Mountain, but the location stated was too far from Tulsa to be the story I had been told. Where ever I read it, there was mention of the Red Fork Bend of the River.

I, too, am a native of Tulsa and had not heard of this story or the ones in your threaded messages, but I am not a student of the Civil War in any sense. I am trying to reach the young man who told me this story, but he has not returned my call.

The areas in Pawnee County sound logical, but they are not in the area of the River Tours I mentioned. Please keep me informed about the Battle of Round Mountain exchange of opinions.
