A much more reasonable figure! But I doubt that the two cavalry squadrons of Gillett and Scanland would contain 150 men each. The squadron in the CS army was a two-company organization, commanded by the senior captain. With 3-5 companies it would be a battalion, headed by a major and staff (6-9 companies merited a Lt Col and major). Muster rolls of Scanland's squadron shows that it had no more than two companies. More likely, the two squadrons together had 150 men.
