Re: Southern Superintendency Papers

I would appreciate any references to the Creek Agency, particularly my ancestor William H. Garrett. Garrett was US Agent to Creeks from 1853 until 1861 when he went with the CSA. He was replaced by BG Cooper's Quartermaster, MAJ Israel G. Vore, in about May 1863. Garrett family oral tradition is that he died in Richmond, VA or enroute late 1862 to Spring 1863.

I will also check to see which of the referenced microfilm rolls are available at the Oklahoma History Center in Okla. City, OK. My last experience with the records of the Creek Agency 1853 to 1861 was just hit or miss on what OHS has at the OHC.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks for sharing. Best. Greg James
