I am interested in any possible details from the group of where the approximate location of Watie's encampment near to Coody Creek near present Muskogee might have been located. I am interested as an historian on the history of Muskogee. Are there any clues to an approximate location? I am doing research for a historical tour through a museum and would like to give the group a better approximate location. Any replies would be appreciated.
