My great-great-grandfather was in the 4th Kentucky Mounted Infantry, Company G. His name was James C. Broughton. He enlisted on July 22, 1861 in Rockcastle, Co., KY. I have his Union service record. He went in as a private and came out as a 2nd Lt. I would be very interested in battles. It would be much appreciated if anyone could tell me how I might be able to obtain a photo of him or his company.
