Whippoorwill Creek Bridge (railroad) was located in Logan County, KY about 10 miles south of Russellville. Col. Hunt, 5th Ky Inf. CSA, had a small detachment guarding the bridge. They were surprised by a Company of Union Soldiers (C. B) under Captain Netter, Col. Burbridge's Regt)

Then Confederates were easily overpowered and Netter's men burned the bridge. The rail-line served by the bridge connected Clarksville,TN to Bowling Green,KY.

Bacon Creek Bridge was burned by Confederate Troops under then Captain John Hunt Morgan. Bacon Creek Bridge was about 60-80 miles north of Bowling Green,KY.
