Now, let me muddy up the water. Does anyone know the parents of these men, especially the fathers?
I am interested because of the Bain surname. I believe these men were descendants of the McBayne/
Bayne/Bain/Beam family that once lived on the banks of the Loch Ness in Scotland.
The family was banished to Ireland in 1756, after Giles Bayne killed 14 of the English
who came to the castle before Giles was killed in battle.
Giles stood 6ft 7, and had that for an advantage. Are any descripitons given of the men or their height?
According to what I have learned recently, they were fierce fighters.
Just intersted-
Linda
