Alan , thanks for all the good info, will try and sort thru it and determine how many were killed, i know some men from other units were involved for the Union but have to confirm it by deaths, 2nd Ky vol cav. i think is another one in addition to units already identified. also see where Wharton complained to Union general about some of his men being fired upon who were under a flag of truce earlier. ? will see if Wharton ever got an answer, but know the Union commander inquired about it to general George Thomas i think it was . will keep digging. some of this data i picked up in dixie hibbs publication , nelson county, a portrait of the civil war.
