I am looking for a James Cosgrove. He enlisted in November 1861 in New Orleans, LA by Capt. Gibson, Company A, Miles Artillery. The muster roll for Miles Legion says he appears until December 31, 1861. The 1911 Census, Enumeration of Ex-Confederate Soldiers & Widows of Deceased Soldiers, Parish of Orleans, LA has him wounded in the Battle of Murfreeboro. His orbituary in the Daily Picayune has him wounded in the Battle of Gettsburg. I am trying to find out what really happened to him after December 31, 1861.
