According to his orbituary he was in the war until the end and was wounded in the Battle of Gettsburg. According to the Enumeration of Ex-Confederate Soldiers and Widows of Deceased Soldier, Parish of Orleans, LA, he served in Miles Regiment, Co. A (muster roll, Nov. 14-Dec. 31,1861,I found)and was wounded in the Battle of Murfreeboro. According to the same orbituary he recovered from his wounds and joined Morgan's Cavalry, a subsidiary command of the Army of Tennessee. He is buried In N.O. in the tomb of the Army of Tennessee in Metairie Cemetery. Would this info help in finding anymore info on his military career. How did he get to Murfreeboro and then to Morgan's cavalry?

Thank you very much for the info.

Cheryl
