Just found your inquiry about James Cosgrove on the internet. He was my great grandfather. He lived in New Orleans on Washington Avenue and was a screwman. According to his pension statement and from what I heard from some relatives, he was captured at Murphreesboro and was imprisoned at Fort Morgan in Indianapolis. He was parolled in Nashville at the end of the war. I don't know too much more about him, but am anxious to find out.
