I have a newspaper article, The Weekly State Gazette (Austin, TX) for 22 July 1864, that tells how Woods dawdled with the 36th Texas Cavalry on his way to Louisiana. I can make out the words Livingston, Polk County, and Cold Springs. Your answer makes sense. Unfortunately the article is covered with a big ink splotch so I am not sure how the article fully reads. I am hoping to find the article in a Houston of Galveston newspaper.
