Yes, George,, I am aware of Pvt. Adley. (It is Valcour not Valeour) I am the one who notified then manager Steve Bounds at Mansfield State Historic Site of his being killed there while on furlough. Steve is no longer there but you can check on that fact with current manager Scott Deerman, both close friends of mine. That still does not mean that the 19th Louisiana Infantry fought there. The unit was in Georgia while Adley was at home on FURLOUGH. Your HDS source still incorrectly lists the Battle of Mansfield as being in March and not April, yet you persist in using it.
In what I hope is a typo, you have Adley being enlisted by Col. Winaux. Actually, it was Colonel W. P. Winans. Feel free to actually check any reliable source as to the correct spelling of the colonel's last name. Your source there, the National Archives compiled service records, Microcopy Series 320 (Adley is listed on reel 301) are what I referred to when I stated I looked at each service record. I also perused the originals while at the National Archives.
