Thanks for the heads up, yes, I overlooked these two cards.

Based on Company F's Record of Events, the muster rolls for the period March/April & May/June, 1863 are missing. This then would date
Fincher's period of service two months for sure, four max.

As to the Department Record L. R. #709, I would suspect this document would reveal his reasons for discharge.

I have never searched for these type records and do not know the difficulty in locating them. Tho, I would believe the NA Archivists have a
handle on them and could identify them readily. However, one might have to wait up to two hours to have them pulled. Hopefully, it wouldn't
take long in the Reading Room to scan them.

I was not aware our people conducted researchs, and have no idea of their hourly charges for same. I thought they only copied CSRs from microfilm.
