The Louisiana in the Civil War Message Board

The point is that the information you used is wrong, whether it was a typo or wriiten incorrectly by a long dead orderly sergeant. You are cutting and pasting and passing it along to someone who is asking for the correct information. Unless you are stating that Mansfield was fought in March, why would you not correct the mistake or at least inform the interested party of possible incorrect facts? As for HDS, most of the dates they use are wrong, yet you continue using them and not informing the person you are quoting them to that the source is unreliable. If you spent more time confirming your sources instead of trying to convince me or the board or whoever that the 19th LA Infantry fought as a unit at Mansfield while they were actually in Georgia by using an obscure example of one man killed in Louisiana while on furlough, then I would not have to be wasting time explaining it to you and I could be actually trying to assist someone. That is why we are all here right? I am not perfect either, so lets call it a night and get back to helping fellow board users.
