Thanks for the feedback Jim and Ray. Jim, in the O.R. report of Union Lt. Col. Burris in regard to his Aug. 1964 raid into the Bootheel, he mentions the Dogskin Swamp--would that be a part of the Negro-wool--maybe just a more localized name for a part of it? Burris's reference to the Dogskin Swamp was made in relation to skirmishing taking place around Elk Chute.
