Elk Chute ran parallel to the Little River and to the east of it in central Pemiscot County. The northern end of it was roughly equidistant between the Little River and Gayoso, which I think was the county seat during the Civil War.

I didn't take the time tonight to find out which map told me that, but I copied it onto one of my own maps at some time in the past.
