Re: John Hutchison, Mo.46 Inf.Co.I

Jim, There was another sister, Cora. When my folks moved to Calif in Dec 1944, she had been living in Bakersfield for some time. Her last name was Dunn and we used to visit her a lot. She had several children, but the ones I knew were Louie, Della, Lena and Ethel. They all lived in Bakersfield. According to the geneology I have, Aunt Cora died just a few months after my mom Dora. In family records, when you see the name "Doad" that is Dora
Ruby died quite young in 1919. I have a picture of her with one of my 1/2 brothers(Moms son)Clifford taken not long before she died. I am so sorry about Colleen. I never realized that horrible event touched my family. I knew she and I were about the same age, but didn't realize we were exactly the same age. I was born in July 1935. I remember her brother "Lonnie" but only vaguely. You were born after my folks moved to Calif. Aunt Gertie stayed with us awhile when we lived in Stroud. I think Grandpa was living with us at the same time. Maybe Aunt Gertie was just visiting for a month or so. Thanks for the info on the website. I will check it out. You said you remember visiting Stroud- Your folks must have moved from there before you were born(?)It is so interesting to reconnect with my moms family. Are you in contact with any of the others-it would be cousins-?
