That's great information -- thanks for sharing it. In my post on May 27 I had wondered whether there had been a monument erected at the cemetery there. If someone in the area could get us the names and other information off of those headstones, it might help fill in some gaps in the historical record. Also would be interesting to see what's written on the monument. The monuments at Jefferson City and Centralia are well known -- this one in Mexico hasn't been the subject of any published works over the decades (nor, for that matter, has been the initial disposition there of the remains of the dead from the massacre).
