John Pace b. 1772 is my 4th great granduncle..that makes Thomas L and Edward M first cousins once removed, pretty sure they would have known "of" each other if they didn't know each other..I hope so anyway. After reading the account of the train ride and massacre, I often think of what conversations might have taken place once they heard Anderson's men were close by and planning an attack on the train. Thomas Goodman had some thoughts on the train engineer's behavior as they neared the station. One of Edward's brothers made several speeches in which he mentioned the circumstances of Edwards death. One in particular I like, I will look it up and send it to you. Interesting family, the Pace's.
