Col.Philips report on Indian Troops

If one go's to my post about the Ft. Scot Tribune there is a fascinating report by Col. Philips who commanded the 3rd Indian Homeguard Regiment( Dispach No 198) about the state of all three Indian Regiments. Per the civilwararcives.com The Indian Home Guard Regiments were not really home guards since they fought not only in Indian territory but spent a fair amount of time in Mo where they fought in the Battle of Newtonia and else where and they also spent a lot of time in Ark. I am not sure if the were in pursuit of Prices Army into Ark or chasing Bushwackers/Partisan Rangers or just fighting CSA regulars.
