Good info Mr. Martin. Its ironic how the Indians fought for two sides that did not have their best interest at heart. Going back to the French and Indian war the Indians were beset by "divide and conqer" tactics. Hindman has you pointed out didn't have much choice since the South just couldn't crank out the logistics that they needed has easily has the North.
