Don, I was way out of my, south missouri, comfort zone. Finding him in Jasper County among a bunch of former Washington, Iron and Phelps County people kind of threw me off. I also found a William Sallee in the St. Joseph area who served as a private in the 12th Cav. but, I have not determined how or if the two are related.
