Since it isn't relevant to this board, if you will send me via email any known particulars of your wife's ancestors' demise (names, dates, location, etc.), I might be able to "dig up" bits of information. I have access to an excellent archive of 19th century newspapers, including several from the north-eastern states and would be happy to do a bit of research to help you out.
