The Missouri in the Civil War Message Board

Re: Burbridge brothers
In Response To: Re: Burbridge brothers ()

Joseph Howe Burbridge and Benjamin Burbridge were brothers (son of Roland) of Revolutionary War. John Q (Jack), William and Clinton were sons of Benjamin. The cousins were sons of Joseph Burbridge--John J and William C.H. served with the 3rd Reg Cav Co C.--Roland C and Benjamin F were with 49th Co. I. Three of them were also with Fagg's 6 month militia. I don't have it all pieced together, especially the military history part. Would appreciate some recommendations about reading material to piece together the type of war that was going on in Northern Missouri. I know Clinton was involved in conflict at Ashley, MO. Thanks for your reply and questions.
