Bruce, Thank you so much for your insight. I do not have, nor have I read the Guerrilla Warfare books but am working on correcting that. Dr Benson and his execution came to my attention while searching for Daniel T Guthrey and reading M. Geiger's book on Financial Fraud where he named DTG and Dr Benson. Then I went back and did more family research and came up with the family connection. I'm fairly sure no one in our LA/TX family branch were aware of the connection to and circumstances surrounding Dr Benson and his death. Do you think that all records regarding the trial of Dr Benson were destroyed? I would have thought the Union military system would not have allowed that to happen. How could his trial have been labeled a court martial? Or is this just part of the failure of due process you referenced in your last post? I keep coming up with more questions. Again, many thanks.
