The obvious falacy of the charges is shown in another well know fact, that there has never been any Guerrilla parties formed or known to exist in Franklin Co. Mo. since the commencment of the war & of course never before. In justice therefore, to a worthy but persecuted citizen it is to be hoped Colonel that you will give this case your personal attention as soon as possible & consistent with your ardious duties & restore the accused to his liberty & his family.
