Indeed, yes, this thread is about Hiram Bledsoe's battery. I'd wondered about the very active Lieut. R. L. Wood, but could not deduce this officer's name (he is always referred to as "R.L."). John Russell's research has cracked that nut. This was a very active and interesting battery; my interest in it is mainly in 1863, in Mississippi and Louisiana.
